Little Dragons
Our Little Dragon program present an ideal outlet for your little one(s) aged 3 to about 6. We teach basic Tang Soo Do techniques and principles while having a lot of fun. The curriculum focuses on discipline, focus, self-control, and respect. The results are always positive, both in and out of the dojang!
Tang Soo Do (Karate)
Tang Soo Do is an eclectic empty-handed striking style utilizing of forms, one-steps, self-defense, and sparring. The Tang Soo Do (TSD) style was established in 1944 by Grandmaster Hwang Kee and is influenced by Shotokan, Taekkyon, and Subak. Two of those three styles place a great emphasis on kicking, which remains to this very day. This program has Children's classes suitable for ages 7 to 13 as well as Teen/Adult classes for those 13 and up.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling style originating from the Gracie Family of Brazil. Its ancestor art is Judo, a style of grappling created by Jigoro Kano. BJJ places an emphasis on position, control, and submission. It rose to popularity after Royce Gracie defeated multiple opponents in the first UFC event. These classes are offered and coached by our friends at York 3G BJJ for ages 4 to 13 in the Kids Classes and ages 13 and up in the Adult classes.
Haedong Geomdo
Haedong Geomdo is a sword-based martial art from Korea similar to the Japanese styles of Kenjutsu, Iaido, and Battodo. Its literal translation is the "Korean way of the sword". This class is for teens and adults ages 12 and up.
